This Easter started and was very close to ending as a wonderful one! Brady woke up and we took him out and showed him his easter basket. Dad had hid 6 eggs in places he always goes the night before, so we kind of walked around and helped him find the eggs. It was so cute!
Uncle Jacob and Aunt Meredith came over along with Mike, Michelle and Aubrey. We had a great dinner and we were enjoying the nice day by spending time with everyone. The day was winding down and Brady decided that he wanted to climb on one of the bar stool chairs. He got his leg caught in the lower rung which pulled the chair over and the back of the seat hit him square in the forehead. I ran over to check him out and noticed lots of blood coming from his forehead and then saw the cut. Dad was running over as well. Michelle grabbed a wet cloth and some ice and we ran to the car to head to the ER. We knew that head wounds always bleed a lot more then other areas of your body but it just seemed like it would never stop. Brady was screaming (poor guy) as he was probably scared. Mom and Dad were remaining as calm as the could so that he wouldn't be more worked up. Thankfully they recently built a Scottsdale Healthcare Hospital very close to our house and there was no wait when we walked into ER. By the time we got there the blood stream had slowed and they put a nice big piece of gauze and tape around his head. Once we got into a room they checked him out for any additional head trauma but everything looked cut except the large cut on his forehead. They use a topic solution that has to sit for 30 -45 minutes that will numb it. Once it's numb they wrap him like a burrito in a sheet and a nurse held his head while mom got to sit on the bed and hold his arms. The numbed it with an injection and then cleaned it out. Brady got 4 stitches on the underneath layer and 6 on the outside. He was so tired that he actually feel asleep when they were almost done with the stitches. Brady was a trooper.
